HISTORY

Digiwest started its activity in June 2008 as a spin-off of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, made up of a team of highly qualified engineers with solid experience in electronics, telecommunications, instrumentation and software development.

Initially installed in the Leiria business incubator and later in Marinha Grande, its growth made necessary to move to autonomous and larger facilities. Thus, in the last quarter of 2013, it was reolcated in Pousos in Leiria, allowing gains in terms of capacity, greater cost efficiency and greater visibility.

Searching for new partners for innovative R&D projects, it joined in 2015 TICE.PT, the most important cluster of companies in the fields of information technologies in Portugal.

Since its inception, Digiwest has focused its activity on research and development of embedded electronic systems, based on microprocessors systems and wireless technologies, using as differentiating factor the sale of innovative products, capable of accurately responding to the specific needs of specific to each client. All products are designed, developed and manufactured by the company, incorporating microprocessor based technology, RFID, LEDs, GPRS and RF communication, GPS, among other electronic systems.

Being an innovative company aiming excellence in the design, manufacture and marketing of solutions for systems and autyomation equipment, control and information, assuming itself as a reference partner in the process of creating value for its stakeholders.

Specialized in the development of customized solutions, Digiwest intends to distinguish itself by the quality and speed of introduction of innovative products in the market, using the most advanced and emerging technologies. Its action aims for the rigor and quality of its processes, promoting the satisfaction and overcoming the expectations of its clients.

Digiwest is commited to meet legal requirements and driving the ethics   of its businesses, it intends to be an asset for society, environment,   employees and partners, following a perspective of sustained growth in   its activity.

Through the implementation of a Quality Management System, in accordance with the requirements of NP EN ISO 9001:2015, Digiwest aims to establish responsibilities, monitor and review processes, as well as ensure the correct management of its resources, given the needs of the business.
